One Handed Backhand Preparation

Everyone believes that preparation is the foundation of all tennis strokes. But what is that? Conventional teaching belief is that it means getting your racket back early. False but also true. In this article I look at what really happens. Getting your racket back does not involve independent arm motion. It's an automatic function of preparation with the body.

The initial body or unit turn is with the feet and the torso. The racket moves as a function of this. The body turn then continues seamlessly to the set up with characteristic checkpoints. See what these checkpoints really are and create world class preparation for yourself on your one-hander.
