In this article let's look at the three major two-hander stances and a couple of other variations. Should you hit open, step in, or step across? It depends on many factors. But let's see the commonalities underlying the variations, including the critical role of the outside foot set up and the role of the back leg in balancing the swing and controlling rotation.
