I am really excited to announce a third major partnership for Tennisplayer! This time with TennisTV.com. (Click Here.) The deal is simple. TennisTV and its management is giving us the continuing rights for high speed filming of live match play. In turn, we will be promoting a new way to watch tennis matches online that is perfect for hard core players and fans - our subscribers. You may not of heard of it-yet--but TennisTV is easily the leading site for watching pro matches online, and is now the official streaming video outlet for both the men's and the women's tours. So that makes an awesome trio for us. Arguably we are working with the three most important media outlets in tennis: Tennis.com (Click Here), the TennisChannel (Click Here) and now TennisTV.com as well. What exactly is it? TennisTV is an amazing, in depth resource that allows you to follow 35 tournaments live all year from around the world, including the entire Masters Series. It's the piece that was previously missing if you really wanted follow the tour closely, and have been continually frustrated by the limited coverage from "big" media. Take Indian Wells for example. TennisChannel is basically covering every minute of the first weekend. Fantastic. But after that, you have to take your chances with Fox Sports which means much more limited coverage and also time shifting rather than live broadcast.
OK I'm going to be there in person (Click Here), but if you're not, TennisTV.com means you can watch the matches live. And obviously, the portability and flexibility are huge, since not all of us can sit home all day and watch television, when and if there is coverage available. And if you do sign up for Indian Wells look for us on the sidelines, filming away on your behalf. I've actually been a paid member myself of TennisTV for over a year now. But starting now we will be working as official partners. I had a chance to meet in person with the key people, in particular Steve Plasto, the head guy in the TennisTV operation, which is based in London. The result was that we saw how our sites were beautifully complimentary, and that both filled important new roles in expanding the coverage and understanding of the game. So what all that means is that we will be expanding our filming opportunities around the world, and also helping spread the word about this comprehensive new resource.
As I said TennisTV covers the entire Masters Series, but that is only part of it, as the total is over 700 matches annually. Basically almost everything but the Slams. There are also highlights packages, behind the scenes features as well as interviews and an extensive archive. There are a few different ways to access their coverage. You can do it by day, by event, or buy the whole year for about $130, which is what I did. There are also tons of free samples so you can get an idea of the quality of the product. Check out what they have to offer. Click Here. Personally I'm incredibly proud that we've established the credibility to work with the very top tennis media groups in the world. I think TennisTV is a great step forward for tennis and tennis players around the world. See what you think for yourself.
