  • A Little Update

    Hello Tennisplayer.net community,
If you know me, or remember my modus operandi from my many posts in years past you will know I don't like to start a thread or create one early in the month that takes away from the overall vibe and energy of a new issue. But when I do, It is going to be important.

Some of you may have noticed a steep decline in my activity on the forum. I can promise you I still visit and read as many posts as I can but admittedly don't have the time nor the substance at the moment to respond with a lengthy, thoughtful, detailed and articulate response that the initial thread may command and that you as a subscriber deserve.

However, I feel all of us in this forum share a love and interest in the sport of tennis and therefore, each other.

I wanted to give you an update on what I've been up to as well as why I've been a bit AWOL.

I've been busy. Very busy. working around the clock on SETS Consulting, working with clients, professional players, coaches as well as tennis clubs and federations. Creating, managing and assisting with educational curriculum to help tennis coaches become even better. The bulk of my work is under the radar yet deeply impactful on the lives of the end consumer, which brings me the greatest joy. I am certain that through my body of work within the industry and across borders, as well as statistical scope and scale, that you have most likely already experienced or been impacted by some of it perhaps without realizing it, hopefully positively!

Another highlight, and although I cringe at me having to self-promote, is that I have achieved something in the industry that I am incredibly proud of. (see attachment). I have achieved Master Professional designation through The United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA). Only 150 tennis coaches alive in the world today have this rating. These coaches include Nick Bollettieri, Dr. Jack Groppel, Dr. Jim Loehr just to name a few. As well as tennisplayer.net contributor Dave Hagler. Dave was instrumental in helping me achieve this as he talked me off the proverbial ledge many times while trying to complete this project. I am honored and humbled to have received it. It's taken many decades of work, service to the industry, education, playing and coaching accomplishments etc. My final application and portfolio submitted was 86 pages and took a herculean effort to bring all the pieces of this puzzle together.

I hope that these are reasons enough to justify my absence. I promise you I will be more active on the forum in the future and contribute and add insights when and where I can. Until then, I hope everyone continues to do amazing things for not just yourselves and your careers, but also for your students. If you have any questions, never hesitate to contact me.

By the way, you haven't been totally absent, since your "proxy" re-shared a couple of your posts <g>

I have to share this tweet from Kyle LaCroix: "Marc-Andrea Huesler. Southpaw Swiss Serve and volleyer succeeds in Sofia. His maiden ATP title. Huge props to him. Highest ranked Swiss male player." - Kyle LaCroix, @klacr (https://www.tennisplayer.net/bulletin/member/78698-klacr) I. Can't. Get. My. Head.
