His backhand(and forehand) are reminders of how much variability can be
present in elite stroke mechanics,

What about the weak right handed grip!

He never gets the racket down and under the ball like so many others do. He must be hitting pretty flat most of the time. I am not a fan of his strokes. I find 'em pretty ugly to be honest. I do like his ability to control a ball and redirect it.
