TPN'ers in the SoCal area might be interested in this event, which has a tremendous player entry list.
Perhaps because this is a stop-gap event, pasted in to fill the gap left by the China-swing being cancelled, it has next to zero visibility. But it features 16 of the top 20 WTA ranked players, including Iga, Coco, Badosa, $757,900 prize money. Entry list is good enough that the reigning Wimbledon champ is listed as an "alternate". {No points for Wimby reverberates.}
Info: Took some digging but if anyone is interested, tickets to the San Diego WTA 500 are sold only on Seat Geek. Looks as if this was put together by some student interns but the player entry list is awesome. With the Asian swing DOA they're hungry. Still show plans to repeat the 2021 ATP event, but as far as I can tell that never happened. Curious.
