Journalist Ben Rothenberg tweeted this matrix of which players can play where and under what terms. This after ATP and WTA confirmed that points will not be awarded for Wimbledon.
I assume that Djokovic being unable to play the US Open is based on US travel policy, which might change by August? US immigration "prohibits unvaccinated foreign nationals from entering the United States." On the other hand, Serbia is listed by US immigration as "high risk" of Covid, arguing against change. Djoko being banned from Australia is presumably based on his being a 2-time deportee loser, which comes with an automatic ban. That can be appealed, and Tennis Australia, with its considerable clout is likely lobbying fiercely for an exemption.
Ben brings up an interesting point I had missed. While Medvedev not being able to play Wimbledon would clearly impact his chances to be the year-end number one, the current leader, Djokovic will lose 2,000 points, while Medy only loses, I believe it is, 180 pts. So, it could be a net positive for Medy, strangely.
The other Big Shoe to drop is whether everything in China gets cancelled yet again, given China's struggling "Zero Covid Policy", which increasingly looks as effective as making rust illegal. The WTA withdrawal from China also looks like "You can' quit me I fire myself."
