I don't know if John has done an analysis of his strokes but without video I wonder if his forehand extends as is typical on the ATP or not.
Certainly has a big one. If you're 6 ft 5 in and get your whole body leaping into the ball like this, I suspect you could hit quite a forehand <g>.
