I used to find him boring but have grown to admire Bautista Agut for taking what god gave him and getting 200% out of it.
No doubt. I love it also. Sevi, Moya, JCF, Ferrer, RBA, Nadal, those guys compete. No substitute for putting on the hard hat.

ESPN: Stefanos Tsitsipas jeered after another long toilet break, wins in 4 sets at US Open.
Stefanos Tsitsipas was booed for another lengthy toilet break during his win over Adrian Mannarino at the US Open but said afterward that he is doing nothing that violates any regulation.

The word 'reasonable' is in virtually every dodgy legal document going. I had a lease where the freeholder could charge 'reasonable' fees which weren't in fact reasonable at all. In fact the fees had to become very unreasonable before I could do anything about them. I would say 8 minutes for a tinkle is very unreasonable, and 3 minutes would be reasonable. And let's not forget, 99% of these players are not doing a tinkle anyway.

I would be very surprised if the bathroom breaks rules are not changed soon, just as rhe shot clock came into play.

Bash, Zverev, Karatsev, Opelka, a lot of my favorites, very successful today. Fritz still out there battling.

Brooksby v Karatsev might be an interesting game.

It could be. It is all in Karatsev. Bash absolutely brutalized JB when they played not long ago, and Karatsev has a very similar game. It will be all about error management for Karatsev. Match of the day today, Stef ve Alcaraz.

The funny thing is that if you walk through the streets you would think that all they do is sit around and eat longish meals. Someone also told me here they love to sleep in.

It's almost like some kind of costume. Like Rafa, totally calm and affable when he is just sitting around. He is probably a lot of fun when he is just sitting around talking to his friends or taking a swim in the mediterranean.

Then put him on a tennis court and he is a whole other person. It's like a big head fake...

Now we get my dream third rounder. Alcaraz vs. Tsitsipas. My guess is that the young Spaniard is just not quite there yet. He has a lot of firepower but I am not sure he will survive another bathroom break. Maybe he should bring a few drinks and some tapas just in case. Or he could just take a nap and the reamp himself with an espresso.

I say Tsitsipas in 3. Maybe Alcaraz can steal a set but no more.

I will say Stef is not breaking any rules, and he is clearly not going to be intimidated by anything anyone says about how he is conducting his business. If I were his opponent, I would simply leave the court also, and make sure I was gone at least 10 minutes or so ha. No use sitting around bitching about it while he is gone. Nothing is going to change right now, and you are probably only hurting yourself by getting pissed.

Absolutely!!! Let him go, then you go and make sure he comes back and has to wait on you for a few minutes. Locker room justice!

Alcaraz is improving scary fast. What a match in progress vs Stef.

Alcaraz I think made a great coaching choice in JCF. JCF was was great player and a pro's pro.

Evans defeats Popyrin in five. The final set tiebreaker was miraculously played by Evans who you would think was still on the white stuff they way he pulled that out of the bag.

Stef vs Alcaraz what a match. This match to me a fine example of why the WTA is not opposed to a merger with the ATP. What an atmosphere for this match.
