      Nice. I love the tennis basketball one the best. I find it’s waaaaaay more common that players will make contact too far in front rather then behind. Volleys and slice are the same in that as well.

        Great drills that help young players develop soft hands and sense of racket face direction.

          I taught myself to hit a half-volley drop shot and a dead-fish drop volley. (Better than you, John McEnroe!) Get an old, scuffed racquet and a hitting partner or a ball machine, volley off passing shots you can handle (NOT trying to volley off someone's first serve). Let the ball knock the racquet out of your hand. That's all! Credit goes to Pancho Segura,
          in some soft-cover tennis anthology from the 1980's.
