  • Slice Angle of Attack

An attempt to capture classic slice and extreme slice angle of attack. Thanks to tennisplayer.net I finally am increasing speed/spin ratio and getting extremely low bounces with the extreme slice angle.

I want to learn the Federer extreme backhand spin drop shot that uses the same angle of attack as an extreme slice, but different follow through. If I can use that angle of attack, the deception as a slice will be adequate enough and the dropshot does not need the difficult to impart "jump back and jump left" spin that Fed requires. Anyone have a good explanation or video for this shot?? I understand that the mechanics for this dropshot, however, may not apply for club level opponent groundstroke speed/spin ratios.

Haven't written up the drop shot. Will post some Fed drop shots in the Interactive Forum maybe in Feb--got one or two.
