RBA's level has dropped slightly...not serving as well as in the 1st set. Mr Chewing Gum never goes away though...2-4 down.

Novak wins in three. Does it the hard way against RBA as per usual. So much easier to be like Roger who carves lesser players up inside 5 shots or less every rally. Less taxing...and truth be told the secret to Roger's longevity.

Bizarre 3rd set with Novak tamely lapsing a 5-2 lead, then turns on the afterburners at 5-6 down. Dull game. I can't think why the hell I sat through it.

I watched it to. That being said, glad Novak won it. RBA would not have been able to challenge servebot at all. I don't think I have ever seen a player play so well that looks as unengaged at Raonic. It is kinda cool in a weird way. This no fan thing is his wheelhouse.

The final is underway. A bit of drama, as Novak is still having neck issues. Servebot already up a break at 3-1 1st set.

Novak odds to finish this match maybe 50/50. Novak no poker face dealing with this.

Novak gets a break to go up 4-2. His whole demeanor changed for the positive in the 2nd set. Probably the 1sr break on Raonic this week.

Novak wins in 3. He just started returning as only he seems able to and treated the Raonic serve as if it were only very good. And then just did what he usually does in rallies. Another very tough loss for Milos.

I missed the final. I was out there coaching in the rain and wind...feels like winter over here today.

I was surprised Novak didn't throw the towel in yesterday. It's like he wants to impose his dominance despite having an upset stomach and neck strain. The trouble is Novak can get the servebot's serve back and once he (and Rafa and Roger too) gets beyond that serve there isn't too much else to trouble him.

                    Strange Days

Well the Western and Southern seamlessly morphs into the 2020 U. S. Open. These are strange days. Strange days indeed. Play was "paused" for a day due to Black Lives Matter sentiments. I am canceling tennis...along with all of the other professional sports that are showing allegiance to these thugs. The Left...cancel specialists.

No fans in the stands. Same boring matchups. I was talking to my buddy, The Ugly American, the other day and we were commiserating about Raonic and Djokovic and the day we saw that matchup some years ago in Paris at the French Open. I had to drink so many cups of strong French coffee to just stay awake. It was no better the other day...even though I only watched briefly. Ever so briefly.

Isn't it funny how they are playing to an empty stadium? But the towel situation is the ultimate irony. The kids in masks. Covid-19 times.

By the way...I read the CDC (The Center Disease Control) came out and declared that fewer than 10,000 people actually died from solely Covid-19. The rest had other conditions that contributed to the dead. This is startling. What gives?

                      The Center for Disease Control...

Scroll down to comorbidities..."for 6% (of total deaths) Covid-19 was the only cause mentioned".

                        Fake News...Fake Pandemic?

It's tough I tell you. To be able to discern truth from fiction these days. "Telling the truth in times of mass deception is a revolutionary act". Isn't that the truth. My heart goes out to those citizens in the United States of America with nothing on their minds except to care for their families and paying their bills. But the scum of society is not a collective and acting with a mob mentality. They are being directed by a force that they cannot even fathom. The oldest trick in the book is to take the group with the most anxiety and the most anger and direct them in a direction for other interests. There was impeachment. There was the Russian hoax investigation. Then a pandemic that appears to be an admitted fake by the Center for Disease Control. Then the hostility and destruction from "Black Lives Matter" and Antifa. Black lives only matter as much as the individual takes responsibility for their own destiny. If you engage in unlawful acts on a repeated basis you are playing "Urban Roulette" and it only a matter of time till you find a bullet with your name on it. By the police or by your own people. But people know this. Black people know this. This riff raff has an agenda and it is endangering all that America stands for. But back to the pandemic. Take a look at this:

The CDC all but admits Covid is Fake? by Miles Mathis? First published August 30, 2020? On August 26, the CDC updated its site with a? co-mo...
