      Frank,
CLA is a teaching/coaching method based on the principles on non-linear pedagogy. It advocates a more ‘hands-off’ approach to teaching and learning within physical education. Its about situational learning for students, through manipulation of constraints in three forms, 1-performer 2- environmental 3-Task The CLA idea ensures lots of variability in practice when learning. I do think that good coaches do this instinctively. We ensure we focus less on the amount of practice and more on the quality of practice and how representative it is of the environment it is to be performed in.
