Really liked your article, John, about the Hamburg confrontation. I think the finals featuring Nadal v Federer are the matches of the century - simply outstanding, as good as Borg and McEnroe. I wonder, is that court in Hamburg a little quicker than those at Roland Garros? Certainly looked it.
Speaking of great players, I am currently writing an article about great players of the past and those of the present day. There are many misconceptions about players today being vastly superior to those of the past (until recently I have always been inclined to agree). I can, however, prove that this is not the case. Factually. Maybe I will forward my article when finished, so you can throw it to the membership to refute, if they wish. My facts will be hard to contest though.
