This is a weird match. I quit watching it in the first set as it was a bit boring. But I have taken in the horses and have a second wind. Novak looks as if he wants everyone to know just how tired he is. Nadal looks to me as if he isn't really performing that well at the moment either. His legs also look somewhat rubbery. But Djokovic will out fatigue Nadal I think. He has the better case...two three setters in the past two days. I remember in the old days when the players used to play doubles as well. McEnroe legendary playing five setters and singles and five setters in doubles and coming back the next day to beat Borg in five sets at the 1980 U. S. Open. But the "physicality" is so much higher in the modern game...not.

Anyways let's hope that Djokovic can be persuaded to give it the old college try. Muster up a little something something. If he hands this to Nadal it will only be another reason to find him annoying.

I'm looking at the people in the stands and they look like they could use a cup of coffee.

ZZZZZZzzzzzzzz......it is over yet? Oh yes...I see that it is. Nadal biting on the trophy. He's smiling...happy Rafael. What a jerk. I'm not the only one who thinks so. It's funny. I was taking Ing-Mari to the train station. She's on her way back to Gothenburg. We were talking on the way...she doesn't like Nadal either. It was terrific...a Nadal hate fest. What a gas. She started talking about his ticks. His moronic fiddling with the bottles. Tugging on his shorts. The preserve routine no less. The bouncy....bouncy on and on. "He makes me nervous...annoyed". Here's a woman who is even older than I who has the wherewithal to know a jerk when she sees one. But of course the commentators are adoring Nadal in the post match wrap up. I didn't see much of the match. In the first set the feed petered out and then the computer needed to be rebooted and I just said to myself..."self...I don't need this". It's moronic.

I did watch a bit of the post match wrap up. Heard just a bit of Nadal's speech. Enough to know that I didn't want to hear it. He's smiling. He's biting the trophy. Photo ops galore. I really hope that someone derails him at Roland Garros. Hopefully Stefanos Tsitsipas. Dominic Thiem. Anyone. Please.

I would like a derailment also, but would not bet on it. But if one wanted to bet on another player, I expect they will not be paying a betting premium.

She even mentioned his bottle tick..."he's fiddling with them for mere millimetres". The constant tugging at the clothes..."what kind of clothes does he wear that he has to pull at them". The faux whatever it is for every single serve...she mimicked his shoulder, nose, mouth and the rest of it. The only thing she didn't do was to pretend to pull her shorts out of her ass. I almost expected her too. But at some point enough was enough and we had to let it go.

Smart gal...she'd heard about the surprise election results in Australia where Morrison pulled out a "miracle" at the voting booth. They are calling it the "Trump Effect". The same as in Europe here...most notably the Italian Prime Minister becoming a big spokesman against the Merkel and Macron dog and pony show. Next week is a huge election in the European Union. Some are expecting some more surprises. You can only take so much you know. The Socialism is a real brain numbing. It just turns to mush and suddenly it's Communism. My words not hers. She's ok with the socialism I think. A lot of Swedes are you see. They feel safe when they think that there government is "taking care" of them. They are taking care of them alright. What a world. A world metaphoring tennis.

On to the French! Viva la France. Marie Le Pen is getting pretty frisky with the election and all coming up. Oh Gay Paris! Not there is anything wrong with being gay as Seinfeld says. But Paris is having their problems you know. I was sitting at a cafe there a couple of years ago and three policeman (one was actually a woman) came down the street touting machine guns. I looked at her...what the is going on. "We have had some problems here".

Yeah that gal really had Nadal figured out. She was making faces as she pretended to move the bottles around. Pretending to pull at here clothes. Mimicking Rafael Nadal. This coming from a person who knows very little about tennis. She picked up on it. I told her that I was going to write about her. There...I did it.

I noticed that Nadal used moonballs effectively against Djokovic.

very funny entertaining post, great writing. The Dems over here in USA are still throwing a temper tantrum about the Trump "upset". The Dems are still absolutely clueless about what happened. Oh well. One gets it or not. Maybe Nadal should size up on his shorts. If I were his coach, I would recommend a size up
