John spoke of Kyrgios' antics in his 2nd round match. He sure seems to have some kind of personality issue. In the first set, he decided that his knee was hurting too much to use his legs on his serve for several serves and he just proceeded to serve with no leg action at all. It really seemed to me absolutely no difference in the outcome of his serve. As John pointed out, his fast twitch muscles are the highest out there, maybe ever. And it is evident as John pointed out on his forehand also when he completely goes for it. Sock, another fast twich junkie has some unusual personality antics out there also. Interesting.

Kyrgios playing it fast and loose with the work ethic. When he isn't feeling it the performance speaks for itself.

Curious as to why Tim Henman would not make it to the net in his singles. Were the courts really slow?

It was great to have John in South Florida. The Delray Open works hard in trying to ensure a great tournament for all. It's relegated to a 250 so they only have so much to work with. However they have the capacity and support to make it a 500, but thats between them and the ATP. It's something special when the tournament is on the main drag of a city. Imagine Miami Open being on Ocean Drive, or the Paris Indoors being on the Champs-Élysées. Or what about The US Open actually being in Time's Square for a few weeks. Delray is not the size of those events, but based on the support it gets from the local community, its just as important.

a local Porche dealership is a big sponsor of the event and so they have free parking for all Porsche owners. Needless to say, I take full advantage of this perk.

John captured some terrific video of the action down here and I can't wait until he shares it with all of you.

P.S. And yeah, Kyrgios is something to watch. Such an incredible talent but headspace is troubled. Mental illness is a real and serious thing. But he's like a bad car accident, you can't look away.
