Naomi Osaka coach firing

So Naomi Osaka goes from 72 in the world to number 1, winning the the US Open and the Australian Open in the process. Sascha wins WTA coach of the year. And all this swirling success culminates with her firing the guy, saying that she wasn't "happy" being around him.

Anyone else find this to be a bit crazy? It's hard to know what went on there,and we may never know. But we will see what affect this has on her game (if any). I'm very curious to see.

Wonder what Sascha and Naomi are really like?

It seems like the coach was saying negative things about her to others in the camp which then got back to Osaka. Maybe he found her difficult to work with and vented it to others...sounds like it. It's only human to vent. Me, I vent to my wife because it's the only safe place to do so. Sasha might be mindful to do the same or, better still, confront issues with his player head on.

Shame, costly mistake for Sasha.

And, yes, you do wonder what people are really like sometimes.
