  • High forehand

    Hi John

    Merry Christmas.

I have a problem with the high forehand stroke. I do well on hard court but on clay where the balls jump higher and with heavier topspin I have some serous problems.
I have good technique and strokes in the comfort zone and below, but balls in the high zone tend to end up at the bottom of the net. I’m off balance and often with balance on the heels.

I play with western grip and a Head Radical Liguidmetal racquet strung at 29 kg. So grip and gear should not be the issue here.

What are the key ingredients in a god topspin forehand hit in the high zone?

    Best regards
    Kim

Same as on any forehand. Check the forehand articles under Advanced Tennis. But I would check your stacne as well. It's impossible for me to diagnose at this distance really. Why don't you send in a piece of video for Your Strokes??
