    Trey Waltke,
    Great article on the slice backhand, with several good pointers. I liked the part about the bend on the takeback, that straightens during the shot. Would you agree that this stroke is another example where the wrist holds it's position during the shot? In the sequence, it appears that the wrist is still back, long after the ball is gone.

    Not sure Trey is logging on the Forum. I'll try to remember to ask him when I see him in LA next month, but yes, I think he would agree.

      great article by Trey Waltke on slice backhand - a bit more on the grip would be good - I use continental grip exactly midway between eastern forehand and eastern backhand - is that the best?

        Yes or slightly weaker. It's easier to hit the flatter drive slice for most players with the index knuckle on the edge between bevels 2 and 3, and the heel pad partially on 1 and partially on 2.
