Perhaps a compliment to tennisplayer.net that this thread gets lost in the shuffle of all the great articles and information on this site but can we just chat for a moment about how exceptional this article is from Joel Drucker. Insights and knowledge from Pancho Segura. Great tennis tips on tactics and strategy. Nothing better than sitting with an expert and listen to him explain and see aspects of a subject you thought you knew, only for you to realize they know so much more and probably have forgotten more than you have ever known. What a treat it is to sit down and listen to someone willing to share their knowledge. Great tactics never change. Winning ways are timeless.
Thank you Joel for sharing this with all of us.

Nice I liked it. He sounds like a coach who could make a player believe in himself...motivate him....inspire him. I knew someone else like that, and all three of his sons played in the main draw at Wimbledon in the 70s. Great coaching, in terms of getting students to win matches, involves getting inside their heads and making them believe.
