In high school Martin Luther King was one of my heroes. If the current ugliness and hate mongering has an upside it's in exposing how far we still have to come. I have to admit although I met Kramer a few times and he was friendly and charming, the articles we've done on Segura and Gonzales have changed my view of him. Those two guys were heroes too. Now let's name something after them at the Open!

I always disliked Kramer for the way he treated Gonzales.

Great article about Gonzales and Segura. The racism they had to endure was a small part of a sad legacy that still haunts our nation today.
