A Note on Ongoing Computer Blockage

Blocking don_budge was easy. I don't read a word of what he writes, and have been a much happier person ever since I made that decision. To block all other tennis Nazis however may be more difficult in that there are so many of them. It's not just that they pattern themselves on the behavior of Donald Trump, whether they think he will be the greatest of all American presidents as don_budge and hockeyscout both declared pre-blockage, but they are not open to any ideas not their own. And they are not civil. And have no sense of humor.

He's a funny one 10splayer. I am not sure if he is just trying to be "funny" or if he is seriously suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome. Traditionally Nazi's come for the alt-left side of the political realm and that is the side that one can only conclude is bottle's base. The term Nazi comes from the German Nationalist Socialist Party.

I think bottle sees himself as ANTIFA. Some members of this group have been training in Venezuela in order to disrupt and overthrow the duly elected government of the United States of America. This is how far things have sunk in recent decades. Bush...Clinton...Bush...Obama...it was supposed to be another Bush or Clinton. This could not be and I hope we weren't being ambushed with Trump. Right now he is surely ambushed between all of the factions of the Deep State. bottle included. As Dostoyevsky wrote in 1871:

Hate Fate

I have just read this hate post for the first time. Felt I had to do it. Somebody is going way, way out of his way to malign you all the time, you can't just remain silent. Tried it and it didn't work, may even have spurred him on to greater waves of hate. You people who are buds with this guy, don_ budge or Steve Navarro, watch out when he turns on you. You will find that he then is mean as a snake no matter how kind, ingratiating and supportive he was before the big shift. He was my biggest fan for years! No thanks! Wasn't worth it, not for what has happened since.

If I myself ever showed traces of the same kind of self-indulgent, morbid hate, and I probably did, I now apologize. I plan to use the experience as something not ever to repeat when I start questioning my many Detroit students next week about their political inclinations and views.

The wonderful new school principal just approved this proposed course of action today. He stated that if I just start teaching sentence by sentence from the new McGraw-Hill textbook of world history the students will walk right out of the door. It is a charter school with very little difference from a public school except it is run by a private management company. And I just decided that the old textbook the school was using was better. Fortunately, I can use both and could do that every day if I wanted.

In using relentless determination to have full political discussion but toned down, perhaps I can get something positive out of having known Steve once he turned.

As for calling people Tennis Nazis, however, I think I'll stick with that where it seems appropriate. My definition of a Nazi is less convoluted than Steve Navarro's. And has to do more with personal qualities such as meanness and an extremely foul mouth. People forget that foul mouth was a big part of what the goose-steppers were about.
