  • Tennisone Lesson Libary

So we resurrected it--less a few articles that should have never been published in the first place... A ton of information however. You guys all have access to that plus the instructional courses we put up previously. Hoping a lot of people from Tennisone will come back--as they will have access to Tennisplayer!

    Same login asTennisplayer.

Looking at the library, makes me realize how much better organized the Tennisplayer site is...

I'm sorry to have to say this, but WHO GIVES A CRAP? The brilliance of at least one of voices there is such that the way the old TennisOne website was organized is of absolute irrelevance at this point. I can easily say that Buckminster Fuller was the most disorganized speaker I have ever heard in person (twice) but does that mean I would ever do or have done anything to disparage him and quell his voice? Shortly thereafter to claim the lousiness of geodesic domes?

But am I saying that Doug King is disorganized? Absolutely not. Each one of his videos is communication that is beautifully organized in every way. I notice that in each of the snarky little digs at TennisOne that have occurred no one other than John Yandell has ever dared to criticize King, and he did so with nothing of substance to back it up and at other times has actually seemed to stick up for it a little. And then there is Stotty who pointed out that JY BOUGHT the material. Personally, I think that was a move for which I will always be grateful, and in fact I've always felt I ought to get a little payment of who knows what kind from John Yandell. Or maybe that payment idea was somebody else's and not my own.

I guess if you are a nerd of library organization or Kellyanne/Leni Riefenstahl spokesman for TennisPlayer, you have some sort of a point but pretty obscure if you ask me. Some of the instructional materal you, gzhpcu, is talking about, is absolutely great and would help anyone. And tennis lessons, taken in a group, do not have the structure of a well constructed novel, short story, poem or oil painting. I don't think most tennis lessons are as good as Doug King's in fact, but usually do offer a moment or two of utmost illumination for my own tennis game. And would I want to quell oblique perception? Absolutely not. That is one of the reason I was always looking for tennis conversation when I was drinking beer in sports bars back in Winston-Salem. Most of such conversation was useless but why would anyone care if there was a peak moment or two?

What I like most about TennisPlayer is its surprises, not its symmetry.

        Phil,
I will have to agree. If you think it's disorganized now you should have seen how much work we put into it to make it just barely comprehensible. Doug King is a great guy and a friend. A lot of people have benefited from his work. Personally I find it incomprehensible and in violation of the few basic laws of physics that even I understand. Or maybe he just is far above my level and his explanations transcend logic. In any case there it is.

I would like to add that it is also one of the finest honors that can possibly be bestowed upon one at tennisplayer.net.

Nice post suggesting the opposite of what it intends. No doubt the effect on a gullible kid of the language, thought and presidency of Donald J. Trump, who in only a few days has proven to be the most Orwellian (mindfuckest) of any president in American history.

I put him on ignore list a long time ago. Hard to believe anyone who is even remotely regular on this forum has not done so.

Go to first page, nerd, and count the hits. O thank you Donald for teaching me to love the numbers. I need them when fighting as fierce and well reasoned an opponent as Stroke. (Did he vote for you, by the way? Seems likely.)

Hi John, none off them even show up on the page anymore. There is nowhere to download them at the bottom of the page. This is in tennisplayer not tennis one.
