Watched him win a three setter this morning against a talented American 19 yeay old, Mmoh. Dustin's play is continuos: does not towel between every point, does not ask fo 6 balls whwn serving. Goes up to the baseline, no pause, bounces 2-3 times, low toss, wham! Commentator said this puts opponent under pressure!
Very entertaining match: instead of endless baseline duels like Nole and Murray, unpredictable net forays, incredible drpshots, serve and volley.

He's great, isn't he? Now if he could just learn to win all the time...

He hasn't really done much, has he? He's hovered above and below the 100 ranking mark for years. The highest he's been is 64. He still seems to have won a few million quid though. I saw him at Wimbledon last year. I don't think he cares too much. He just seems to coast through life like the only thing that matters is where the next joint is coming from.

I like his carefree game. When he's playing well he's a breath of fresh air and entertaining to watch.

        Carefree.
His greatest strength is his greatest weakness. Carefree is great as he is relaxed and loose and swings out on his shots. But it can lead to some low percentage shots decision making and a lack of playing the score. He's carefree alright. For better or for worse.

Unfortunately he is only a sideshow. One of the supporting cast in the "Big Time Wrestling" sport of tennis. The entertaining thing about him is that he throws a different look at his opponent with tactical bag and it's amusing to see how ill-prepared they are to play against it. Imagine...if you will...if a truly dedicated athlete were to use these tactics. Like Roger Federer does.
