  • February Issue?

Hey John. We've just hit February. Any idea of when the Feb. Issue will be online?

Thanks for your eagerness! Aaron and I are grinding away even as we speak. SHOULD be up in the early evening Pacific Standard time.

Thanks for your reply and hard work. You should take it as a compliment that I am this eager to see the newest stuff on your site. I remember once being this eager for Tennisone's new issue and now I often don't even look at their new issue for weeks after it's posted. They still have some good articles but it seems like only 25% of them are good whereas it was once the majority of articles that were good. They have a lot of quantity but not much of a filter as to what is good and what isn't.

        Videos

Also, the videos on tennisplayer.net are so much better than Tennis One's. The quality is just amazing. I look forward to them every month as well, and don't care about tennis one's videos. Can't wait to see who is on video this month!

Someone once requested Safin in the stroke archives and I concur. I know he is covered exhaustively in the high speed vidoes, but I would love to see him in the stroke archives one day...

          God bless you both!

Gmann I think your assesment of TennisONE is just about right. There is some stuff that is valuable, but no sense of overall vision or direction or judgment...

As for Safin I couldn't agree more. We have filmed him but we need more matches--here's hoping he is OK for Indian Wells. As soon as we have enough footage we'll put him up.

This month we have Coria and Svetlana Kuznetsova. For both I think the technique is quite interesting. In terms of the light etc the Kuznetsova footage is some of our best.

Kuznetsova's forehand is huge. I'm excited to see those clips, John. Keep up the good work.

Huge yet compact. Good wishes for Aaron--he's putting her up at a coffee shop in Santa Cruz as we speak...

I find the Tennisone site OK, but it is a hodge-podge of articles, many of which contradict each other. Tennisplayer is IMHO much better because there is a sense of direction and coordination between the contributors. Thanks John.

Thank you John. Great! I have not videotaped my altered serve yet, because I want to wait till I no longer have to think about it, but already it feels much looser, fluid and the ball is hitting the back fence much higher (one foot)!

My sentiments exactly. I think it's counterproductive.

John, interesting article about temperment! I always liked Nick Saviano's suggestion of letting your personality dictate your style of play and this was a nice elaboration of it.
