Hi John,
I want to thank you for your brilliant explanation of the racket drop on the J. Ryle Your Strokes analysis. Somehow I missed this before. I've always struggled with a shallow drop like Ryle. Like him, I have a decent motion and a good serve, but I'm convinced the shallow drop is keeping me from a great serve. Your simple explanation of what external rotation is and how to maximize it even if it's far from the magic shoulder of Pete's really helped me. Just shadow swinging in the back yard I could see improvement. I simply wasn't dropping as far as I could without realizing it. This is why the "Your Strokes" is so valuable. I know you must get tired of seeing the same old mediocrity, but when you analyze how it can be improved, it's an immense help. I can't wait for the rain to temporarily stop here in Seattle so I can work this new drop into muscle memory! Thanks again. Keep up the great work.--TMac
