To be insane beyond belief
Is sometimes the best relief…

Yes…to be insane beyond belief. I know that one. It's been a state of being for me. I confess. Being a bachelor for all of my life…most of my life. Married twice now…divorced 14 or 15 times. I lost count along the way. You'd think it would be a haven…some sanctuary. Love…it's a crazy thing.

It's a beautiful and haunting song. One that I keep in my pocket at all times. The railroad tracks across my heart. If you've got heartache…tell me about it Gordon. Tell me all about it…Brother. My sister Carol was a Gordon Lightfoot "groupie". She turned me on to Gordon many years ago. I met him in Windsor one winter evening. He was older…but brother, he can sing. He can deliver a message.

These are the tears I've shed…they still grieve me. One thing more…love never did come easy.

Thanks for this song. It cuts to the quick.

…and oh yeah…that Novak Djokovic is really something. Isn't he?

Been a fan of Gordon since high school! If you happen to be in the desert next fall you can come to dinner with Kyle and me.

One technical and pretty useful thing to notice is how long he stays on the ground before becoming airborne in most of these shots.

That is some gorgeous light and some gorgeous color and some dominant forehands. Now I have the song in my head and I can only hope some of the feeling of the shots he is hitting.
