I have wondered on occasion, why some of the men don't hit underhand drop shot serves to guys like Nadal when he stands so far back. It would at least make him move forward.
The wide serve worked very well for Thomas this week but not everyone can hit it that well.

I did it for an entire match one time (shoulder). It was frustrating for me and my opponent. However, it was more neutralizing then I expected and I lost the match 6-7; 6-4. I hope I never have to do it again.
