Lord, Keep it Down to One New Cue a Day, Pleeeeeze
Today's on forehand: New separation point (SP) in every drive or topspin.
Symbolically speaking, the SP occurs at the dash between the 1-2 of 1-2 rhythm.
In down to oink reality it's between forward turn of the shoulders and all the rest of one's balletic turn (but don't wear pink-- sein Steve won't like you).
And don't go to the senior prom either because, as Carrie's mom Piper Laurie has said, "They're all going to laugh at you."
So no pretty in pink. Just keep your head down and do as I tell you and kick butt.
Instant separation of arms as left hand flies across.
Racket tip slightly up and pointing in direction of the net.
Unit turn left like Trump in the dustbin of history in that, yes, the hips and shoulders simultaneously turned back but then the shoulders started turning forward while hips were still turning back.
This puts a good stretch between hips and tummy as in a Ricky Fowler golf stroke.
Have we reached the dash between 1 and 2 yet?
If so fire the hips to complete the huge balletic turn.
Make sure to have either A) topped the ball toward the target or B) wiped with the racket to create a geisha's fan which is faced at all times at a sexist's brow.Last edited by bottle; 04-04-2018, 05:57 AM.
