Phil, Thanks. Without trying to bore you, A tester is in charge of certification and education of new pros into the USPTA organization. I am the first contact and impression that new USPTA members have as they go through a weekend long test that includes a written exam, private lesson, group lesson, grip exam, stroke production and feeding. I have to grade and evaluate all of those things and give that new teacher coach a rating based on their performance. Here is a link to some of the tester stuff. May answer some of your questions...
