I'm wondering a little about backhand grips and wanted to know if there are any experts or otherwise in here who would advice against using a too strong grip with the bottom hand? Considering the scale commonly used here at tennisplayer i think i'm about a 1.5(index)/1(heelpad) with the bottom hand. i guess i'm bent/straight with the arms.
Reading the articles on two-handers, it seems that placing the index knuckle on 2 or weaker is the way to go if we consider the pros with the best two-handers. However, this feels kind of awkward to me, and i think a shift would bring some trouble. I understand that one shoulden't get too hung up about grips as you can use different combinations. I just want to know if there is a bias with some grip choices that hinders your backhand from ever becoming top noch. I feel that a stronger grip promotes more topspin and that maybe a good two-hander is consistent with a more flatter stroke? And maybe you are a little bit more flexible with a weaker grip?
Thanks!
