you will never do it in front of the fans.jmho
working on your strokes in front of a mirror
or NEVER hitting a ball with you pro i beleive can produce TREMENDOUS improvement in your game

Pantomining in front of a mirror is good. That is an example of visual tennis. But you say you should never hit with a pro to improve your game?

not what i meant
i meant if for your lesson all you did was pantomine the stroke or even the pro took your hand and moved it for you (works for volleys) so
your lesson was not focused on hitting a ball
but getting you to mimic= demonstrate a stroke with an imaginary contact point and target in mind
that would be a productive lesson in learning strokes.
yes you need to learn to recognize the ball coming at you, the bounce etc, footwork to put yourself in a balanced position when you get there
but when its time to swing
if you cant do it correctly in front of the mirror i dont think you can do it on the court.

ask someone to show you how they hit a fh or bh or fh/bh volley
the look you see will probably be the look you see on the court
