I've recently noticed that I've been struggling to get power out of my unit turn for my forehand. I have no problems setting up by turning my shoulders, but I'd often feel as if it was not accomplishing much.
I recently recorded myself and noticed that my left arm (non dominant) was often completely getting in the way. I'd have it out like a guide, but I'd often end up "hugging" myself.
I quickly looked through some of the articles, and read your article "The Opposite Arm: groundstrokes", and I immediately knew what my problem was.
The next time I went out to play (a few hours ago), I applied your advice
and BOY did it make a difference!
Also, the advice on setting up the footwork so that your guide hand would be able to catch the ball was excellent, and may end up helping my chronic problem with cramping myself too close to the ball.
Forehands are so much funner now.
Thanks

The pace car clears the path and the race car follows.
