  • Check out the hoppity hop drill at the bottom of this analysis of Jeff Greenwald's serve:

And the same thing in the Paul Goldstein article:

    • John, what baffles me is when I practice going through the serve motion, I get this:

This is the drop I want. However, when I go on the court, I get this:

      Wonder why?

      • You rush thru your modeling. You need to hit from the drop--get to the drop before you toss. And film that. Don't film from the side film from behind. The timing of your elbow bend in the current serve makes a full drop impossible.

PS that dog looks like a lot of fun.

                    • At Mt Lassen they have 24 acres but the SF apt might be tougher...even with the court...

I get it. I really do. But just throwing it out there with my fingers crossed...Any chance of doing something like this again?

Maybe Miami? South Beach has a special way of welcoming tennis players.

Indian Wells is also good. Cincinnati, Montreal, Toronto? Just curious.

Yeah...just ask Richard Gasquet. The "South Beach Kiss" sprinkled with Bolivian Marching Powder.

                          • True, but I'm not suggesting or condoning the use of drugs while cruising down collins ave or mingling with models on Ocean Drive at some swanky nightclub. I am suggesting that the beaches, dining scene and overall scenery would be excellent. I will admit that the viewing in Key Biscayne is not as good as Indian Wells. The IW courts are sunken which gives a great view for fans. Miami is a temporary set up with seating.

However, location is the fairest geographically as it's convenient for east coasters who can come south, west coasters who can be tempted by culture and scenery of Miami fly east and even give some of the International contributors (Stotty, don_budge) a better opportunity to attend. How long is a flight from London to LAX or San Francisco? How long is a flight from Stockholm to LAX? Compare that to Miami. A few hours off your trip and ability to still do something on day of your arrival.

Just thinking how much this website has grown and improved and how many great insights we have from all over the tennis world. It may be an absolute fantasy and maybe not even financially beneficial for John and his staff nor the timing ideal for everyone's schedule but just a shot across the bow.

                            Just Imagine...

                            • how to get people to buy in

                              Hello guys,

I've really found the forehand information from Brian Gordon to be amazing. It has definitely worked for me. However, I have a hard time getting my friends to buy in. When I show them the videos of the pros they simply say that this style only works for the pros. When they said this I started thinking why am I so confident that this style will work for recreational players. But then I also think to myself, what makes people think this forehand is any more difficult to implement than what we are already doing. Do you guys think that most players should at least try to use this type of forehand? Any recommendations on how I can get people to buy in?

                              Thanks,
                              Regg.
