  • Pros Do Use Wrist

Hello People..this is my first thread...

Wrist off the start.. pros do use the wrist... I am a Japanese and I bought so many magazine and in one issue Hewitt gave lesson to magazine.. and in his forehand HE stated that he use the wrist snap to hit the ball....

I am sure people talked about the this somewhere.. but I will bring up more evidnece as well...

It is obvious... if you have video camera you go tape your stroke...
first you hit your forehand without using your wrist.. most people believe pros hit the ball without the wrist.. okay you hit the tennis ball without the wrist... you will see your arm will extend more like straight... so does your wrist.. just like your tip of racket will face the opponent... your wrist can not resist the speed of follow through... in here many people have seen Federer's swing...after he hits his shot, his elbow stays in sampe spot.. did you notice that? this is only possible if you twirst the wrist... without the wrist action your elbow continue to stick out... yes i beleive they do this action after they contact the ball..... i mean like flat contact.. then twist the wrist very quick.. Even Agassi...he does use the wrist.. after he hits the ball.. his elbow pretty much stays in same place.. however, Agassi doesn't use windshiled wiper.. he puts racket quickly next to his left ear..people talke about Agassi hit the ball flat.. yes he hit the ball flat but he use some kind of wrist to bring the ball down.....

See.. one thing I am not too happy about those Video people.. I mean i am one of those who heavly use video for my lesson, but there are many things you can not tell from just looking the video... even you use the wrist with slow motion it seems like they didn't use the wrist... another question is if they don't use the wrist at all, why Agassi had to go though Wrist surgery and how about racket head speed?
