I'm sorry that I'm not quite sure I understood your post.

Do you suggest that I try a higher toss?

      Thanks!

        I would suggest lower toss.
Two videos on a left hand side of

would be in my belief reasonable examples high a toss should be.

        See as well

I agree. A lower toss really does feel more natural to me.

This morning I played a few sets of singles and tried to keep my toss low. For me, the key is not only to keep the toss low and in front, but also to make sure I still wait for it to come down just a little bit. I have a habit of really kind of chasing after my toss and trying to hit it at the apex. When I let it come down a bit, I give myself room to drive up through contact instead of pulling down and over through contact, if you know what I mean.

Thanks again for the continued feedback.

Your coach may provide some drills to produce a consistent low toss.

                    Can't Find Edberg

Okay...maybe I'm crazy or something, but I just looked at that link for the Edberg clip and didn't see it in the article. Where is it, exactly?

                    Thanks,

I had no problem finding the article, but I don't see Edberg.

The pictures on the first page, going from the top down, are:

                          Philipoussis
                          Sampras
                          Haas
                          Rusedski
                          Sampras
                          Roddick/Sampras/Philippoussis
                          Ivanisevic
                          Legs
                          Philippoussis

Anyway...it doesn't really matter...I learned what I needed to by re-reading the article anyway, so thank you for the link.

"Even players with lower tosses hit the ball after it has dropped substantially from the apex. "
I think it is Edberg but I maybe wrong.
THE MOST CRUCIAL are 2 HORIZONTAL LINES showing how HIGH a toss
is for this particular picture.Otherwise all my comments are of a lost value.
It proves that coaching ONLINE does NOT make any sense

                              That is Rusedski

As I mentioned before...it doesn't matter who the player is in the picture because the article was valuable for exactly that one point: even with a low toss, the ball needs to drop from the apex. I would not have even mentioned that I couldn't find Edberg, but I wanted to be sure I was looking at the right article.

I'm curious about your comment, "coaching ONLINE does NOT make any sense"

                              Do you really believe that?

98% of the coaching I have received has been on-line. If I thought it made no sense, I would not be here.

It may be different for me, since I have some high-level coaching experience in other sports. Personally, I think learning on-line makes lots of sense:

                              1. Cheaper than on-court coaching
                              2. Better information
                              3. Easy to fit into schedule (can do it on my own time)

The only problem is a lack of real-time feedback. However, I have had a few private lessons with some bad coaches. Their idea of feedback is to tell the student what they are doing wrong. Sometimes, they might show them what the right way looks like. However, very rarely do they take it to the next level, which is to tell them WHY they are doing it wrong and exactly WHAT they can do to improve.

Anyway, I was just a little surprised to hear that you don't believe in on-line coaching, because you have provided some good information that has helped me make some nice improvements.

                                Hi,
Couple of basic mistakes were made in a process already.
One of them was that you did NOT provide a list
of strokes combined with a list of grips you are using a given stroke.

Next if you get any advice from a coach you should agree that you will
follow a grip requested by a coach.

A corresponding issues exits for footwork.

A corresponding issue is an issue of specializing in playing singles vs doubles.

Another issue is quality of video tapes you provided.

A corresponding issue is an issue of following advices from different coaches
who may disgree. The best example for this is Andy Roddick.
You can loose a lot of money big time in HIS case.

Really good coaches will NOT provide an advice for FREE.
