Matteo Berrettini and Djoko are on court as I type.

Matteo won the first set in a tiebreak with no breaks of serve. Curious, tho. Djokovic is actually doing slightly better on first serve than Matteo, who is winning more points on second serve.

Matteo just got the first break of the match, to go up a set and a break. Novak missed 5 first serves in one game and lost every single point behind his own second.

And, it's done: "third seed 7-6(4), 6-2 at the ATP 500 and record his first victory over a Top 10 opponent since January 2023. Berrettini, the former No. 6 in the PIF ATP Rankings, won 85 per cent (40/47) of points behind his first delivery."

Djokovic only won 6 of 20 points behind his own second serve,

I just came in for the tail end but can't quite understand how this happened. Hamad played final 20 minutes on one leg - and won? He could barely get to the net to shake hands.

"Hamad Medjedovic fights through injury to take out Tsitsipas 7-6 5-7 7-6 and reach the 2nd round"

Took Andrey Rublev eight (8) match points 6-1, 3-6, 7-6(8) over second seed Alex de Minaur, managed to hold is temper this time.

Meanwhile. Medvedev had to retire from food poisoning vs FAA.
