Fonseca's forehand may be the next giant shot. Very relaxed motion with a bigtime "flip". Couldn't find any slo-mo videos.

Jason Frausto of Tennis Unleashed on Joao Fonseca's forehand. This has been a popular subject, as of late.

he also has a pretty big serve. His forehand however, is insanely good. It seems he can hit a winner from any where on the court, even off his back foot. It looks like opponents are returning a first serve, when Joao's is hitting his forehand. Some top players just seem over powered by it. Case in point, Ethan Quinn vs. Joao in recent challenger final, where Joao won it.Last edited by neilchok; 01-06-2025, 07:19 AM.

yeah so true. I saw Grigor courtside at an ATP 250 event, and his slice is so amazing, TV does not do it justice. The same with Novak's kick second serve at Indian wells. I could understand why Roger had so much trouble returning that. I could not imagine seeing Joao courtside.
