Taylor Fritz shared this Tennis TV image with the comment: "I can’t begin to tell you how INSANE playing 97 matches in one year is (Roger 2006) Especially back when Masters finals were 3/5 sets as well"

And, Fed lost to only two (2) players are all year: Nadal 4 times, Murray once.
In the year end Tour Final (Masters Cup then), Fed came from behind twice in five matches, on the way to beating both Nadal and Nalbandian, his two arch rivals, as well as Andy Roddick from down a set and match point on a fast, indoor court.
F J. Blake (8) 60 63 64
SF R. Nadal (2) 64 75
RR I. Ljubicic (4) 76(2) 64
RR A. Roddick (5) 46 76 (8) 64
RR D. Nalbandian (7) 36 61 61

Without the Big Three in the house this turned out to a bit of a snooze fest. Or should I say sneeze fest. Apparently Carlos Alcarez had a runny nose. The sniffles. At any rate more inconsistency. I keep hearing nonsense how he wants to take over Novak Djokovic. Roger Federer. Don Budge and Rod Laver. He has had a difficult time getting out of his own way off and on. Consistency being one of the big hallmarks of greatness in any profession. You have to show up. I think the new crew is going to have a very tough time filling the shoes of The Big Three. There isn't one charismatic draw in the bunch. Ironically...it might be Nick "The Jerk" Kyrgios who would be the big draw if he could get his act together and make a showing. But he cannot. He won't. He is actually a bigger draw in the commentator booth than any of the players. He who makes a mockery of the game.
