Seems that with his serve diminished by physical problems, Medy is very good, but not quite Peak Medy great any longer.Last edited by stroke; 11-10-2024, 02:37 PM.

Put differently, Sinner won a higher percent of his 2nd serve points than Demon did on his own 1st serve points ( or over 2x second vs second).
Ouch!
P.S. I'm surprised no one mentioned Medy's meltdown after Fritz won a key point on a frame shot.

Ruud gets first top 3 win, beating Alcaraz, who was fighting a cold.
ATP:
“It can be a bit tricky,” said Ruud, when asked about playing when an opponent is not at 100 per cent. “I knew he was dealing with a bit of a cold. I saw him sniffling in the back area and with a tissue for his nose, so that’s a sign that maybe physically he won’t be necessarily at 100 per cent. Of course, that is sad, and not good for him, but at the same time it is part of the game.

Jannik Sinner and Taylor Fritz meet at 11:30 AM ( I presume that is PST) in a rematch of their US Open final,.
Could be interesting. Fritz is serving well and this court seem to suit his game. On the other hand ... it suits Jannik, too. H2H 2-1 for the Carrotta!
