I loved the article. The "secret u" is a great observation. It also takes care of the old axiom that the racket has to be above the wrist. I've always taught it has to be above the extended line of the forearm and the "u" allows for this condition even when the contact point is literally below the wrist.
You need one other element to your basic volley. The racket head has to move inside out relative to the intended line of the shot. I look forward to see if you've got that in the subsequent articles.
I also wonder if you'll use the lack of a followthrough and the comparison of transfer of momentum from the cue ball to another ball when it stops!
