Tennis' "minor leagues' share a lot with baseball's minors and with the NBA's "D-League", including poor compensation.
Two differences are that tennis players don't have team mates and the path is less clear. In MLB and NBA you'er "up or out", while tennis players can linger in purgatory endlessly if they're stubborn.
