He's somewhat of a dying breed, with radio and TV over here choosing to use commentators and newsreaders with regional accents as oppose to the well-spoken British accent. While that has a charm of its own, the grammatical correctness of British commentary is gradually being eroded away. It's all about inclusivity over here so the working class accent must have its chance. Not that I am against this, it's just you miss voices like Dan Maskell and Richard Evans.
