I've noticed the last few years that more pro doubles teams are using signals when RETURNING not just serving.
While I've heard of a "Secondary Poach" where the return net man waits for the return then crosses to intercept the opponent's first shot after return -- usually while praying his partner hit a low dipper against an incoming server, that's all I can think of. (I've actually attempted that with a partner or two where it made sense. )
Anyone care to educate me on 1) What other moves a returning doubles team might signal 2) What are conventional signs for these?
FYI -- Here is Jannik Sinner's sign at the net to Lorenzo Sonego, who was serving. He was rubbing his fingers together. Looks like an inverted duck. Maybe he's saying "If you serve like that again, I'm going to dive like a duck?" Sorry, joke.
